Mission: Family Practice Center of Newtown was established in 1991. As a teaching practice, we strive to provide the best quality of care to our patients. Our office has paired with the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine to allow future physicians the chance to see how medicine works in the office setting. We also work with interns and residents of nearby hospitals to aid in their preparation for entrance into the medical world.
This practice also ensures that the latest and most popular treatments are offered to our patients. It also ensures the coordination of care with other physicians for the best results possible. Our patients are our priority and their physical, emotional, and mental health is most important to us.
Values
Respect: We value the dignity of every person and relate to all with respect.
Integrity: We keep our word and live our values.
Compassion: We provide physical and emotional care.
Excellence: We deliver the highest quality care in a safe environment.
Justice: We serve and advocate for the marginalized, the vulnerable, and the poor.
Collaboration: We work with others to meet the needs of the people we serve.
Understanding Health Information PrivacyThe HIPAA Privacy Rule provides federal protections for individually identifiable health information held by covered entities and their business associates and gives patients an array of rights with respect to that information. At the same time, the Privacy Rule is balanced so that it permits the disclosure of health information needed for patient care and other important purposes.
The Security Rule specifies a series of administrative, physical, and technical safeguards for covered entities and their business associates to use to assure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of electronic protected health information.
